the Stapeliads.

May 10th Mammillarias and Pots.   Mammillaria Identification and Cultivation. Everybody has a few unknowns so bring along all those unnamed plants and find out all about them. We should be able to name them. Mammillarias range over a diversity of habitats and hence their cultivation requirements vary significantly - including one that requires winter watering!
May 31st-June 4th Bloom in the Park
June 14th A Plant Sale. from
Harrington Exotics.

Those early Bloomers - do bring them along.

Opuntia/Cylindropuntia/Tephrocactus/Mahuenia/etc.
July 12th Bolivia - Mountains, people and cacti.

We are spoiled for choice here and it should not be too difficult to have something in flower.

August No Monthly Meeting
A trip over to the National show in Huntingdon Cambs.
This is a must for any serious collector. The showbenches have to be seen to be believed!!
There are nurseries from all over Britain and Europe with a selection of plants for sale. This is the place to obtain that extra special plant.
Some will fly over, others will drive over. If you are going, talk to others and see what arrangements can be made but do not leave it too long!!!!!!!!!! Expressions of interest should be made known to either F. Keoghan or M. Harrington as soon as possible.

  Winter - flowering Succulent Sale.
Ensure that your greenhouse blooms all year round by collecting a few plants from the winter rainfall areas of South Africa. Most are very easy to grow and are a pleasure in the depths of winter.

December 7th Your input into the Programme for 2013. Meet in the Botanic Gardens at 7:30 for a discussion about next year's programme and some X-mas cheer later in the Addison Lodge. December 7th -




Bring any plants in flower to the meetings: this helps with identification. Size is not important.

All visiting C&S enthusiast visiting Dublin are most welcome.
Offers of lectures/talk welcome. Please grow all the plants that you can.
There will be a number of occasions throughout the year when your surplus can then be sold.

As in other years, events will be organised as opportunities and the support for them arise.
All suggestions are welcomed by the Secretary.
